Dimitris Piteros

was born in Athens and moved to Crete at a young age where his artistic sensitivity and creativity sparked. The natural landscape of Crete inspired him to collect anything that could serve as part of his artistic expression.

In his work, Dimitris exclusively uses natural materials: roots, tree trunks, driftwood, cork, rusted metals, ropes, and seashells. To these elements, combined with his artistic vision, new life is given.

His aim is to showcase the vitality of nature, evoke memories, and reveals the understated beauty of the natural world.

Since 2000, he has maintained his own Wood Composition Workshop, where, with imagination and ingenuity, he creates unique decorative and functional objects. Today, he lives and works in Malia, Heraklion, Crete, continuously drawing inspiration from the environment around him.
